When you give, you support the work we do in your community as well as around the world. We use 100% of our funding for program expenses.  Some of our projects are:  Scholarships for high school seniors, our Terrific Kids Program recognizes outstanding third grade students every 9 weeks at 9 schools in the Terrebonne Parish School District, our Coats for Kids program provides warm coats for needy students, the Books for Bikes program promotes the summer reading program.  Students who participate at each library have a chance to win a bicycle and a helmet, the play it again program loans music instruments to students who could not participate in the music program without a loaned instruments, the Houma and Thibodaux clubs have a fishing outing for the Terrebonne, Lafourche and Assumption ARC groups, our club provides gift certificates to needy families for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.  our club also sponsors bingo at local nursing programs and we are a sponsor of the TAFE Run for Excellence.  
 
To support our club contributions can be made to the Kiwanis Foundation of Houma.  The Foundation 
was formed to provide the Kiwanis Club of Houma vehicle to accomplish its charitable activities. 
The affairs of the Foundation are managed by the board of directors of the Foundation. The board of directors consists of the President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary and nine elected directors. Three directors are elected each year to serve three-year terms. These persons are elected by the membership of the Kiwanis Club of Houma.  The Kiwanis Foundation of Houma is a tax exempt organization under 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.  As such, contributions made to the Foundation are deductible by donors per Internal Revenue Service regulations.
